How to get your wig measurements

Please note:  If you have a hairline you will need to add 1" to your #2 and #5 Measurements in order for the wig to be glued in front of your hairline.

Hair Loss Clients -  If you do not have a hairline, then you do not need to add 1".  However, if you expect your hairline to grow back and want the wig to accommodate you once it does you can add 1" however keep in mind your wig may be a little too big if you do that.

Glue less Full Stretch Cap Wig Clients - You may consider reducing your measurements by 1" as glue less caps stretch and tend to run bigger.

How to Take Measurements

-Pin hair as flat and as tight as possible before taking the measurements. This will eliminate bulges that distort head contours.

IMPORTANT:  Make sure that you measure ACCURATELY. 
If you do not measure properly, your wig may not fit.  Measure at least 2-3 times to be sure.  Use a soft measure tape to measure.  We take measurements in whole and half inches.  So please round your measurements up not down. 

Universal Example: 12 3/4 should be rounded up to 13 and 12 1/4 should be rounded up to 12 1/2.  Special Note:  If you are bald or do not have a hair line - you do not need to add the inch - simply put the tape measure where you would like your hairline to begin with the wig. 

please remember this is universal and th averages below are general examples. Everyone is different therefore Not everyone will meet these measurements - some may be under or over and that is perfectly fine. 

1.Circumference
Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hairline around the head and nape of the neck.
(Average measurement is 22-22 1/2 inches)


2.Forehead to Nape of neck
Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck. 
(Average measurement is 14-14 1/2 inches)


3.Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline
A t front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in front of other ear.
(Average measurement is 11 1/2-12 inches)


4.Ear to Ear Over Top
Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear. (Average measurement is 12 inches).


5.Temple to Temple Around Back
From temple to temple across the back of head. (Average measurement is 14 1/2 inches).


6.Nape of Neck
Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck. 
(Average measurement is 5 1/2 inches).
